Aluminum siding corners

These corner pieces CONSTANTLY come off so to get ready for a refi appraisal I'm gonna nail most of these on for good.
I'm planning to use a nailer but am not sure what nails to use.
Shingle nail? Roofing nail?
Do either come in packs for nailers?

I can’t imagine how an aluminum siding corner could fall off.

Are you talking about a wood corner wrapped in aluminum?

Pictures would help.

May be the small corners that used to be used long ago on Masonite type siding.
If you use use trim nails. There sold in the siding area. There going to be aluminum. The better ones are stainless steel but for some reason the box stores in most cases do not carry them.

That make sense, I wasn't thinking about those. They're fastened at the top where the next coarse would hide the nail.

I'd probably glue those things back. You wouldn't want to face nail them.

Maybe a trim nail up under the butt of the siding. If it's hardboard (Masonite) then that nail probably wouldn't stick for long...Back to the glue.

I have used self drilling gutter screws to hold these in place. They come with painted heads!

Not a great look.

They are barely noticeable, just under the lip above!

Think I would glue them in place with clear silicone caulk.

Here's the pic of what I'm talking about.
Sorry, meant to post this with original question.
House was built in 1989 by the way.

Looks like the singing is trying to curl on you which is causing the corner to pop off.
May want to add a siding nail or two to hold the siding in place before reattaching the corner.

so nail the siding down and DON'T put a nail through the corner piece?
