Aluminum fascia

I finished the new vinyl siding and aluminum soffit / fascia on my garage last fall and will soon begin the house. I am now noticing the fascia on the garage is starting to warp consideraby with the heat. I am assuming driving the nails in too deep is causing this. The other thing is the existing 1x6 wood fascia is tremendously uneven, in the fact that if you look at the bottom edge ( toward the ground ) from 40 feet or so away you can visually tell its up / down like a roller coaster track. Any tips on working with this stuff ?

Aluminum fascia

The aluminum expands faster than the wood it is nailed to. Fewer nails usually help the problem, but not so few that wind will blow it off. A dab of silicone caulk will allow it to breath and add some holding power
