Adding on covered porch...

My fiance and I just had a Fuqua house (basically a fancy mf'd home on a foundation) built last June. We live on a ranch in a rural area and like the thought of a wrap-around covered porch. I have a pretty well rounded background in construction from foundation to finish work, but I've never had to add on such an intensive project on my own. The floor level sits about 24" off the grade outside, and the roofline (which is a light 6/12 pitch) is about 9' from grade to fascia. Any tips? Is it possible? Thanks for any suggestions!
