If I am adding more cellulose insulation on top of my existing cellulose installation, do I need to fluff what I have there know? I have been adding recessed lighting and have been crawling around compacting areas
I really don't know if you can compact cellulose with a little hog stomping, but if it makes you feel better, stir it a tad. I'd be surprised if you can compress it beyond dense-pack density, but really don't know. So why am I replying? The lights caught my attention. Since I guess they are already there, take extra time to air seal them, and make sure you have the cellulose as far from them as the manufacturer says to. Make sure you don't exceed the weight limit (with the cellulose) per square foot for whatever OC your trusses are.
