How much weight will a 24 foot wall made of 2x6's on 16 inch centers hold

I have a 24ft by 24ft addition next to my garage. I want to split it into two rooms, 12ft wide and install a ceiling to create a loft for storage. My ceiling beams will be 2x6 on 24 inch centers which will rest on the wall. 5/8's plywood will go on top of the ceiling for the loft floor. I was going to build a 24ft wall from 2x6's with a 3 wide 2x6 header. In addition 4x6 posts will be built into the wall on 8 foot centers. Am I over building?

You can build that out of a 2x4 wall.

If I understand your post correctly you are talking about building a wall to divide the space. what is the purpose of the 4x6 posts?

You will have to support that wall underneath.
