2x6 fascia

I'm preparing to repair some rotten fascia on my home. I've noticed the 2x6 fascia that is already there has a slot cut in the bottom for the soffit board to fit in. I've found 1x6 fascia boards everywhere. Can I buy 2x6 fascia, already slotted for fascia or do I buy 2x6 cedar and cut the slot on my table saw?

Going to have to slot your own. A dado blade on a table saw or a router with a guide will do it.

2x6 fascia

is there a sub fascia behind the fascia? if so you could cut the 3/8" edge off of the soffit overhang and install new fascia tight to the sub fascia and even use 3/4" for the fascia.
