2x3 wall frame?

Hey guys I was considering framing out a non load bearing basement wall with 2x3s. Is this ok? Anyone have experience with this?

2x3 wall frame?

Yes---Makes for a weak wall that is hard to get electrical into--and usually takes more time to build as the 2x3s are often cut from junk wood.

Doors are designed for a 2x4 wall so you will need to custom make door casings.

Why ??

2x3 wall frame?

The only reason I would consider 2x3 walls is to save an inch of space. There is no savings in using 2x3 over 2x4.

Keep in mind, any wood touching concrete should be pressure treated.
