2 hour firewall separation

How can I tell if I have a 2 hour firewall separation? What should I be looking for?

its going to depend on a few factors about the type of wall and framing ... follow the link below and find the scenario that fits your situation

Assuming you're in some sort of apartment or joined townhome? If you're in a single family residence it is highly unlikely.

Honestly the only way to know for sure is to open the wall up and see how it is made, which isn't a good idea with a fire assembly. If the building is newer (a few years or less), the City may still have the plans on file.
