i have a small post and pier foundation, which is skirted with PT ply slightly below grade. there is hardware cloth running down below grade, and wire lath stapled up to the plywood, with 30lb. felt behind that.
i'm wondering if you guys would be so kind as to walk me through the process of applying stucco.
also, what is the actual mix that i need? do i get the quickrete/sacrete mortar mix and use an additive to get me the stucco texture, or is there something ready to go out of the bag?
i understand there is an initial "scratch coat" followed by a final coat?
any tips and guidance at all at this point would be much appreciated.
Any Masonary supply should have bags ready to mix. You can buy coloring to add to the mix if you want.
Stuccoing has a descent learning curve involved. I'd practice on something before you go slapping this on the house.
