Is 14,4441 a reasonable cost to build a screened 12x12 porch in harnett county, nc?

How many bids do you have in hand?

Asking a few local builders is the only way to get an idea of price---

That $14.000 sound like a lot from here for a 12x 12 screen porch---But I have not seen the plans--or the site ,nor do I know your local permit costs.

Thank you Mike. The permits are around $40 to $60 each. The porch will have a base of brick, a cement floor and will be set on my patio which is cement.

You still need to get several local bids---With concrete, brick and the wood structure above--that $14,000 price might not be that far off.

Now I am going to try to merge your threads together---Mike---

There are many online screened porch kits you can buy. You could check the price of these, factor in what the labour would be, as well as the cost of the brick foundation to give you an idea. Many of the porch kits are DIY. You could probably hire someone to do the concrete floor and foundation, then install the screened porch and roof yourself, may save a pile of money.

I have seen a screened in pergola go for as much as $25,000 where I live, so depending on your design, it may not be far off. However, construction costs vary greatly depending on which part of the country you are from. The American coasts have the most expensive construction costs which decrease as you move into the interior. Some online cost calculators take this into account.
