12-6 roof trusses, finish attic?

I am adding a 2nd floor to a cape cod, with a current finished attic. Building a second floor, Iím thinking I would like to finish off this 2nd floor addition with the option of finishing the attic. The current trusses are 6-12 is that enough ceiling height to finish an attic. The plans say 6-12 pre-engineered roof @ 24Ē OC, any ideas?
Is there that much difference in price from a 6-12 to a 10-12 pitch?
