wiring up 100 E27 LED bulbs - yeah
Hiya,
I've definitely got a challenge here. I'm heading a project to create a large scale wall based piece of text out of 100 LED bulbs. As of now I only have the bulbs due to the fact that I've been unclear how to wire them. I've done a good amount of research on the net, but have found nothing similar to the project I'm attempting, so I'm hoping someone can help me here. Basically, 100 lights will be divided. between around 10 letters (10 per letter) and they would need to be able to be turned on all at the same time (i.e. not separate switches but with a mains). Is this even a possibility? Would there ever be enough power in a room to push this much electricity? I had a thought of hard wiring them to car batteries, but I could be a total idiot! As I said I haven't yet purchased the holders for the bulbs. Let me know if you have any ideas.. Cheers |

LED bulbs are low wattage, so I think you could do this easily enough.
But.... do the math first...... How many watts per bulb? DM

Oh.... and AC bulbs would not work off a car battery without using an inverter.

Thanks for the reply. Being that they are found and come from China its going to be tough to find exact wattage. There is a diagram on the top of the box, which as far as I can tell says that they are 220v pressure and 3 W a piece...
