Wiring pot lights... Best way to branch off
I have a small family room, roughly 100 sq. (10' x 10').
Currently, there is a light fixture in the center of the room that is wired to a dimmer. I want to add 4 pot lights in a square formation to surround the light in the center of the room. I also want the 4 pot lights on the same dimmer switch.
My question involves the branching of the wiring from the center light -- is it okay to have two branches (2 lights on each branch) of wiring to go to the pot lights? Or is it better to be wired with all 4 in serial? For that matter is there any reason you couldn't have 4 branches total (aside from the mass of wires you'd need to marrette)?
