Wiring/Ground Screw dilemma

Hey, guys, newbie here. I'm trying to get my outdoor garage lighting hooked up, but there's one problem. The directions say to attach the copper wire to the ground screw--but there are two ground screws. There's one on the mount, and one on the light.

Can I just attach the one from the light (which is attached with a green screw) to the copper wire coming from the house, and bypass the one on the brass mount?

Wiring/Ground Screw dilemma

you need to attach to both. Run the ground wire long enough so you can simply wrap it around the screw in the box and then on to the screw on the fixture.
