Got old AWG 12 G ungrounded wire running from 15A breaker to garage. Enters at the light switch, then branches off to a juction box. New wire (12-2 with ground) junctions with the ground on the edge of the box and goes into a small panel with 20 amp screw-lock fuses. Can 20 amp outlets be installed coming out of this panel?
Remove the fuse box and trash it. Then decide how many circuits you need in the garage. Install one or more circuits as needed (We can help you with that once you have decided how much power you need).
You will need to pull new cable to the garage. Once again we do not know what you need or want in the garage. Please think it over and let us know.
Ah- but the problem is, the garage is 50 feet behind the house and the wires are underground...
