Wiring - Crawl Space or Attic?

Just curious....preference?

I have it both ways. Gettting ready to do a lot more....

I like the attic because it's easier to access and work on.....but it's not as easy to get it down the wall...(smoke blocks)

Crawl space...typically shorter runs...easier to to an outlet....drill a hole in the bottom plate...have wife grab the wire when I stick up up near the hole for the box...

Wiring - Crawl Space or Attic?

my attic is unfinished and a pain to use, so i prefer crawl space.

100 degree temps in attic mean i didnt work up there from may to sept

my crawl is dry and easy to access, i can see hoe others would not want to use it if it is a pain to get into

Wiring - Crawl Space or Attic?

I believe that CA moved to the 2008 not that long ago.

FYI, 334.15(C) has changed. Crawl spaces was added.

(C) In Unfinished Basements and Crawl Spaces. Where
cable is run at angles with joists in unfinished basements
and crawl spaces, it shall be permissible to secure cables
not smaller than two 6 AWG or three 8 AWG conductors
directly to the lower edges of the joists. Smaller cables
shall be run either through bored holes in joists or on running
boards....................
