wiring 3 way switch

i am wiring 3 way switch for 10 recessed lighting.

14/2 from breaker to switch 1, 12/3 from switch 1 to switch 2.

14/2 from switch 1 to light 1
14/2 from switch 2 to light 1

light 1 in series with 14/2 to light 2, then 3, then 4, 5, 6,7,8,9, end with 10 (last stop for 14/2).

is this correct???

i'm using 12/3 instead of 14/3 because my dad has a bunch thats only reason.

No. Don't use different gauge wires on the same circuit.

3way switching:
14/2 from source to switch 1, then
14/3 from switch 1 to switch 2, then
14/2 from switch 2 to the light(s) (to light to light to light)

10 is a lot of lights. How many watts will each draw?

I also running three way switch for ceiling fan.

Fan will have up lighting down lighting and a fan.

I'm putting flu recent lights so 14w each. Room is big 16x25 and I like light lol

This will only allow you to control both at the same time unless pull chains are also used.

well im assuming the fan will have a remote and also the option of the inwall switch that has light dimmer, fan, light button. so if that is what i get can i still use the 14/2 or do i need 14/3 to the fan from the switch??

I would run a 14-3 to the fan. It gives you more options down the road.

Thanks that's what I was thinking but wasn't sure

here is a diagram I had saved with two three-way switches where one controls a fan motor and the other controls the down light canopy on the fan. You could add another 3-way for the up canopy light.
