Wiring a 220V dryer plug on a 110 power panel , in Mexico
I moved a stackable 220 Volt dryer to Mexico, and have a 220 female plyg htat I could have installed by an electrician. I was told that it could not be done, as the plug is 3 phase, and they can only provide 2 phase. I don't understand this. Can it be done?

I will hazard a guess: I think he means that you need a 3 wire 120/240 volt circuit (2 hots + a neutral). And they have only 2 wire 220 volt service. If this is the case, your dryer will not work.
