wireing ac gearmotor


how do I connect ac gearmotor (9k345) 115 VAC with two red & two black wires coming out of it ?

Are you sure that's actually a 115VAC motor? Red and black wires on a gear motor would usually suggest low-voltage DC. If it is actually rated for 115VAC, then you would connect either lead to hot and the other to neutral. Connect a ground wire to the case if it's metal.

Sounds like you need a relay to connect it to, either one relay or two relays and a control for direction, the multiple leads are undoubedly for directional control.

I was assuming that it ONLY has a red and a black wire, since that's all he mentioned. If there is also a white wire, then you're right - the red and black are the hot connections for opposite directions. It can be controlled with just a single pole double throw switch.
