Wire attached to strip light

I am trying to remove the old strip light fixture in my bathroom, and there is a bare copper wire screwed to the plate. How do I remove the wire? Here is a link to the fixture: http://www.lowes.com/pd_24575-43501-...2Bvanity%2Bbar

Sounds like the ground wire. Just loosen the screw and remove the wire. Or cut it at the screw.
