You'll need to provide a lot more information to get help on this. Triggering a false alarm on what? A security system? A fire alarm system? What type of sensor is it? Is it a hardwired or wireless contact for a security system?

List all possible ways this can happen.
With $2 relays wired to latch on the fault you can have them babysit several test points between the sensor and the alarm indicator.

Can you pry a schematic loose from Ademco and post it?

What type of contact is it? Is it a magnetic contact or a mechanical button type? Can you get at the wiring from the window contact all the way back to the control panel or is it inaccessible? I would start by removing the contact and joining the wires together to see if it holds without tripping the system. If it is okay then the contact is bad. If that doesn't work I would probably go into the panel and jump out the zone at the panel and see if it holds. If that does it then the problem is in the wiring between the panel and the window contact. You may have to jump it out with a resistor if there is an end of line resistor in the zone loop. This is assuming that you have a normally closed zone.
