sure

now, do you want to know if it will hurt it?

maybe.

The highest voltage you should put to a 208 volt motor is 228 volts. That's the +10% NEMA requires equipment to be able to withstand.

It may able do so but the main item is read the motour nameplate that will tell you the voltage requriement if you are on the low side of 240 volt range that will useally not a issue but if you are on high side of 240 volt range then may have some issue.

Again just double check the nameplate on the motour to verify it.

If say 208-240 volts then it is not a issue at all.

Merci.

Be sure it is not a three phase motor, that is, does not require three supply wires to feed it..
