Whirlpool oven igniter


Oven lights the igniter keeps clicking and oven goes out.i do apartment maintenance so i can exchange parts with other ranges and i have changed the igniter ,spark board, and control panel and i still have the same problem . Broiler and range top work fine

There is a sensor that indicates the oven burner flame has been established. Sounds like a bad sensor.

Or perhaps just a dirty sensor. You should be able to remove the sensor and clean the lens.

Thanks for the reply but in this case the igniter works as the sensor as well. After giving it some thought I changed the igniter wire and problem solved.
