What's with the price of wire?????

Supply & demand. Right now, home building is down, people are not remodeling, so costs are high. Plus, a lot of our Copper ore comes by ship from outside the continental United States.

That doesn't make sense. When demand is down, supply should be up and price should be down.

In this case, Demand is down, but supply is up, and the price of the ore has gone up, so a increase in pricing for the finished material.

While domestic demand may be down, copper is a world-wide commodity. Places like China can exert pressure on world prices, making the wire more costly here ....
