Hello all,
Doing a remodel on a home. Installed a garbage disposal on the kitchen sink with an air switch. But the only power I can locate nearby besides the 220 for the stove is an odd receptacle under the cabinetry that I've never seen before. Can anybody tell me what this is and what it was used for before. And if I can install a normal 110 receptacle here.
Unrelated noob electrical question;
I replaced all the 60+ year old light switches with new ones. However I found two switches with three wires wired in instead of two. I assume one is hot, one is ground, and one is neutral. How do I go about wiring this correctly with a new switch? Photos attached for reference. Thanks all-
P.S. I am well aware that messing with electrical is dangerous. You could damage your home, or cause serious personal injury. If something is even questionably out of my scope, I will hire a professional. I'm not a tard.
