What do you make of this?

On another forum, OPs are/were complaining about some electrical device. A forum person replies and dismisses the OP complaints, but his reply is very well written in comparison to his other posts.

So I Googled whole exact phrases of his and got a hit.

The phrases were lifted from a letter written by the very-well-known manufacturer, defending this particular product. I'd guess this letter was written by some smooth dude Public Relations type, along with his attorneys.
It didn't offer any evidence or studies that the OPs were right or wrong; mostly it just said, "Trust me" and used some unexplained technical buzzwords.
A politician could not have done any better.

I have my own ideas on the motives of the forum person who defended this product, but what do you all say?

Astroturfing is common on any internet forum.

The worst time was when I posted a link to a certain "unlimited energy" product on a scams board, and the "inventor" showed up in 5 minutes! He must have been staring at his web server logs, just waiting for someone to link to his site.

As a Fed. Gov. whistleblower who never made it to "60 Minutes", I have to decline at the moment. Sorry.
(I'm still resting from my last go-round with politically connected people).

Astroturfing, huh. . .? That's a good one.
"If you can name it, you can. . ."?

Without any specifics or at least some cut and paste phrases in question, this is a useless thread.

You win some, you lose some.

I'm off to do some astroturfing. Corruption pays pretty well. . .

Mr. V. . . .?
You still there. . .?
Are you playing this game with me. . .?
