Weird Power Supply issue

I bought a 120 volt switched power strip/ supply similar to what you would find for a desktop computer, that turns on various equipment independently. The weird thing is when all the switches are off the outlets are supplying 12 volts.

Weird Power Supply issue

What are you measuring it with? If it's a high impedance digital meter, then you're reading "phantom voltage" that is capacitively and inductively coupled when the switch is off. It's not "really" there. Plug something into the power strip and measure again.

I measured it with a fluke 77-4 meter, I forgot about the possibility of phantom voltage, I'm not where the power supply is but I'll check it with something plugged into it when I can.
