water pump breaker humming and tripping

hammer60 Newbie   Join Date: Sep 2011 Posts: 2	water pump breaker humming and tripping my water pump breaker is tripping---when i reset it, it hums and then trips again------i pulled the disconnect for the pump and reset the breaker and it didn't trip-----just want to make sure if i should be looking at more of an issue with the water pump---thanks

But it would be cheaper to replace the breaker first ! If a new breaker doent fix it , then you have a problem with your pump. I assume you have checked all the simple things first, like loose / dirty / faulty connecttions / damaged cord
