Water heater whip?

Is this what the inspector wants to see on my water heater? I asked him, and he said it was OK, but I may have described it to him wrong. ( I didn't have it here yet, the wife was at the store getting it.) My main concern is the words WATER HEATER do not appear anywhere on the package. I guess I just want to run it by you guys to be sure it's going to be OK.

Thanks!

You will probably need to cut the length down, but the conductors are the correct size and color.

Whether you will be able to connect to the box at the wall would depend on the type of box used there.

Water heater whip?

Nah, I'll hide any slack inside the wall, the panel is 2' away from the WH! The other orange (approved BEFORE when I installed it!!!) is around 4' because it goes to the far side of the panel.
He did say you could use outdoor wire indoors, but not the other way around, of course.
I just didn't even want to open the package if there was ANY reason this would fail.
The wires are 8" max, I'm hoping the ground will reach the bar! LOL
