voltage drop
We've experincing voltage drop on some of our lights and outlets since after a heavy rain last week. I need some advice on who to call.

I check the feed going into the distribution panel. One side was 143 volts and the other 98 volts. Should I called th power company or the an electrician?

You have a neutral problem call either an electrician or your poco ASAP!!!! Either or but HURRY!!!

Al, I agree 110% with Chris. Neutral. Bad. Electrician first, POCO second.

Voltage drop UPDATE
Power company came out today and found a bad neutral in the drop coming from transformer to the house. They're got a temporary copper line running on the ground until they can get a work order to bury a new drop.

Dont forget, most POCO's are liable for any damage to your house so make records of the events if anything gets damaged...

Good point Chris. Glad this was taken care of. These types of things get ghastly and most people don't catch them until it is too late.

The only thig I can see that went bad is one CFL bulb.
