vapor barrier boot for junction box/lights in exterior wall/ceiling

Bump - to see if there are any takers.

I'm about to do some wiring in new porch exterior walls(receptacles) and ceiling(pot/recessed lights). According to Canadian building code, I require vapor barrier boots around receptacles/switches in exterior walls and lights in insulated ceiling to ensure continuous vapor barrier. I have the plastic boots for receptacles and the special "blue" boots for pot lights. I'm looking for advice or video on how the boots are installed. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
orange
