Uplighting various palm trees in yard

Can anyone give me some advice on what type of lighting I should use. I have 6 palms trees ranging from 15' to 30' in height in my yard and I want to shoot light up the tree to show off the palm frawns.

Should I use spotlights, floodlights or uplights to achieve this affect? Will one light be enough per tree or should I use 2 or 3? I am thinking I should use the highest wattage I can?

Any experts out there with some advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeanne

If you are looking to light the entire canopy I would think the flood lights with there broader focus would work good. I you want to show light beams in the canopy I think spots would be good. It is sort of hard to predict what lights and exactly how many will give the effect you desire. However you can get a few and temporary place them at night just to see there effect and then you can make your plans of were and how you would like them.
