underground electrical pet fence

I have installed a Petsafe underground electrical fence for my dogs, but the wire is too thin and breaks too easily. Does anyone know where I can purchase a thicker wire especially made for underground burial and the maximum size wire that I should use?

Thanks in advance.

Southwire makes dog fence cable that's solid and PVC sleeved and quite heavy duty. You can get it at Sears I think or on Amazon. Here's a link...
