Fuses on the pole.....? Have you ever seen a primary feed dancing on the wet pavement.....I don't believe there are fuses on the pole, this is what makes fallen lines so dangerous, until they open the line switch it remains hot.......real hot!

underground electric under pond


yeah it has a fuse on the pole that connects to the line...it has blown a few times since ive owned it

no....lol....tech told me it could be a number of things..lightning...etc.....but he did tell me if the underground was bad it would trip the fuse immediatly but at that time i wasnt worried because the pond hadnt filled yet ......

whenever our power goes out in a storm it normally is the fuse that blows...and they come out with a large fiberglass pole and change it....swimming during lightning is not an issue..i know better than that...its the power line failing and the conduit failing at the same time and going in to the ground is more what im concerned about

Well good luck, I love reading these somewhat controversial topics, seems like we have as many experts as we have opinions, but that is not unusual.

May I ask though, if you are not concerned why would you post it? Seems to me that you should at least try and discover from the local guys what their thoughts are on this.

I tend to think that if the underground were to fail, the fuse would be taken out.
