undercabinet light install question xenon

i am installing three nsl xenon undercabinet lights in paralell . can I use the panel with all the wires that flips down ie.'under cabinet lights' junction box (within the light fixture) as a regular junction box, to bring the romex 12/2 to connect to the next light via the side knockout feed the next light. In lieu of going in and out the rear knockouts. do xenons get hot enough to damage the romex. just making sure. any help would be appreciated.

You can but it will look like garbage, why not just come out the back of each fixture? I know its more work, but it looks alot nicer, but you can do it, some may also feel its subject to physical damage though...

thanks chris. the connections are push in, so no wire nuts will be involved. so i thought that would be cleanerto just un the wire right through the fixture, i gues i can go in and out the rear knockouts, one 38" light and one 17" and one 34. so not much wire to deal with. what kind of damage to the wire do you think might occur
