UF-NM or conduit for portable pool recep

In canada, code wise.

Friend currently has one of those temporary 5 foot tall pools you get from walmart. It is setup with extension cords to a gfci that won't trip .

If one had to put in an outlet post (w/ disco and gfci) could it be fed with regular UF (in pvc) (bare ground) or would I have to treat it as a permanent pool, and pull an insulated ground to a new circuit in the panel?

Also, what distance does the outlet have to be from the pool? Logic tells me that one should just go as far as the cord lets you but code isn't always logical .

Thanks everybody!
