I have mounted my television on my bedroom wall. The wall that it is mounted on happens to be on an exterior wall. I would like to run the wires behind the wall, however, I am worried that I am goiing to get a draft thru the opening where the wires will be ran. Does anyone make a certain electrical box cover that I will be able to feed my tv power wire and hdmi cable thru so it that it also will not allow a draft thru? Open to any suggestions!
Cut a dual gang box into the wall somewhere hidden behind the TV, and add a decora wall plate. One gang can have keystone inserts for coax (or HDMI or whatever), and the other gang can house a duplex power outlet. Then the TV can simply plug in directly to the wall behind it. Run the wires straight down (or wherever) to the cable box area for the mating coax/hdmi, and tie into an existing outlet. Shove a bunch of extra insulation around the box, or spray foam around it to seal it off.
