Question

Turn lights on and off?

Is it cheaper to turn lights off each time you leave a room or is it cheaper to leave them on all day? Thank you

they make occupancy sensors for this reason. lights are on when room is in use, and go off after leaving.
i suppose that would suggest its cheaper to leave them off.

now if you were arguing the life of bulbs, that would be a different story

Are we talking a few rooms or many rooms.
A few would not make enough of a differance for you to notice.

From what angle ?
are we looking at this ?
Depends on price of electricity, types of lamps,
length of time left on.

lighting generally is only a small part of your electricity bill,
so most people would not notice.

If you really want to save on electricity
look at the real power guzzlers like
A / C 'S, Heaters, clothes dryers, electric hot water
pool pumps.
