Trouble with install of light fixture

I am in the process of replacing a florescence fixture (which broke physically) with a regular 2 light bulb fixture. When I installed the new light, it doesn’t work. The circuit that it is on has 2 switches on it. When I measure across the black and white wires, I get roughly half the voltage when switched on, no voltage when off. Any ideas on where to start looking?

Describe the wires you have in the light box now and how they are connected. Did you wire the new light exactly like the old one?

I used the same set of wires as the old one. The black set has 3 wires jumped together using a wire nut (this is where the original black was) and the white is a single stand alone.

Ok. What are the other white wires doing? Is it possible for you to snap a pic and post it here?

Sounds like you lost your neutral somewhere.

Sounds like you might be switching the neutral which is wrong.

Are you sure the white wire wasn't with the other whites and the black connected to the single white wire?
