Tripping Circuits

Hi,

Newbie hoping for some help.

Out of the blue about 2 weeks ago, my protected ring circuit tripped for no apparent reason. Reset it and all seemed fine.

However, since then whenever I've tried to use my washing machine the same circuit has tripped. Even when I unplug every other appliance it still trips the circuit.
The odd things is the washing machine WASN'T switched on when it first tripped.

I've checked fuses and replaced a faulty double plug socket, but something still seems to be overloading the circuit whenever the washing machine is switched on.

On the same circuit I've got a TV, cable TV box, Broadband modem, network router, PC and fridge running most of the time, with heating, other kitchen appliances, laptop and lighting on at various times.

Any help much appreciated.

Just a shot in the dark, but do you think that you may have a problem in the washing machine?

I don't know if this is the correct answer here but if the OP is from UK area.

If so with ring circuit they useally limited to 16 amp or 32 depending on how it conferaged in UK system.

The other possiblty is that the washer machine is tripping the RCD [ GFCI ] device as well.

The other possiblty is that maybe have bad connection on washer machine
