Three way switch to simple two way?

Hi - I have a room that has two three way switches, one opposite walls.

I have no need for the switch on the far wall, and want to make the other switch a "regular" light switch.

How should I re-wire the other (the one I DO NOT WANT) so I can do this?

Thanks

Phil.

If you have no use it then just dont use it... Seriously, do you plan on removing the switch and patching the wall?

I was hoping to remove it and drywall over it since it ruins the wall as is (we've redecorated etc.).

Your going to have to open the switch you want removed and see whats going on, you cant just bury a box like that. How bout a blank plate painted to your wall color?

Yes. I considered that - and that's why i posted here.

I need to know which wires to connect properly so that the right connection is made....

What you need to do depends on how it's wired.

Whether or not you can bury the box also depends on the wiring.

Take two pics or describe in DETAIL the wires/cables in each box. It is just a matter of a couple wire nuts to rewire it.
