Three outlets not working after heavy storm

This past week we had a thunderstorm and some lightning. Then some of our outlets would not work in the kitchen. I checked the breaker box...nothing tripped. Figured I would have to call an electrician, but decided to Google it. Found this site...followed this thread and it was the GFCI outlet. Reset it, all is working! Glad to be a member here.
