thermostat removed before wire ID...

Well, I did it again... I took off the white rogers thermostat model # 1F56w-444 before I realized that I dont know what wire went where? Is there anyway someone can bail me out of this mess? I would be very happy to hear. Thank You in advance. Shame guyhttp://www.diychatroom.com/images/sm...whistling2.gif

How many wires are you dealing with? If I recall, there is a wiring diagram on the back of the mounting plate on those. I think these are a heat/cool thermo? You may need to see which wires are hooked to which on the furnace control board.

Easy fix. Go to where the furnace is, copy what colors go to what terminals, then go to the thermostat and hook same to same. Easy peasy, should be done in less than 15 min's.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
