Temporary service to garage
I'm in the process of building my garage (finally!) It's being done on a tight budget, so I won't be doing the electrical until next year at the soonest, as I can afford it. A few years ago I scrapped my old camper that had the usual 30 amp service supply that is common to them. I have the box and receptacle that was on the camper and am wondering if I can use it to set up a 2/15 amp service for use in the garage. I would install the feed from the house using the old stove plug (I went to a gas stove). The 50' cord I used on the camper is still good shape, and I would simply use it from the house to the garage.
Not withstanding the code violations, can it be done? Basically the way I see it, it is simply a 30 amp extension cord running to the garage?
Thanks in advance
