I have looked at several of these around here, and they don't have GFI outlets or breakers, (they are in waterproof boxes of course) and have all passed inspection. Is GFI not needed, just going by NEC ? Thanks,

NEC does not cover these installations regarding GFCI's. OSHA requires GFCI protection on construction sites.

Well that explains it.....I saw a temp. pole on a commercial site that had GFI, and that's why I started second guessing.

Yes, if your State/City/County/Township is under the NEC. Check with your local Building Department......
