Temp hot tub wiring
 

Hey all just a quick question I just got a hot tub the family I got it from stated everything was working but befor I wire it pemmanatly I was wondering if I could unhook my a/c unit and temp wire it to that breaker. No one will use it while it is hooked up that way as all I want to do is check to ensure everything is working. I bought the wire I will be using for the permanent wireing but not the gfci or the new sub box or even the 50 amp breaker for inside. I do not want to spend all time or money just to find out it doesn't work. Thanks in advance for any help. the a/c unit is on its own 50 amp 220 the hot tub also requires a 50 amp 220.

I'm guessing that your "new" hot tub requires a neutral (120/240V) and your AC usually won't have one available.

Yes the spa requires a neutral 2 hot and a ground.
