My telephone lines started buzzing today, i took a look at the main line coming into the house for maybe a loose wire and nothing. Im gonna check the first telephone line goin into the house to see what ill find.
Anybody have any suggestions what the problem could be?
Many homes nowadays have a box (called the network interface) either just outside or just inside where the phone line from the utility pole enters the house. A jack similar to the wall phone jack may be in or near this box. If your system has this jack, take one of your phones and plug it in here. Should you still experience the buzzing or other problem, then call the phone company.
The good conscientious technician or serviceperson will carry extra oils and lubricants in case the new pump did not come with oil or the oil was accidentally spilled, so the service call can be completed without an extra visit.
I found it. I had a telephone line in the basement i didnt use. The green and red wire fell off and was being grounded. The tips actually arced at some time. I reconnected those lines and theirs no more buzzing in my telephone lines no more.
