Switch positioning
 

Just me again...

When a door opens out (that is, into the room from which you are entering the next), is there a "standard" for which side of the hinge switches should be placed in the room that you are entering? I can understand that if the door swings in the switch should be away from the hinges, but I can't see any advantage for positioning the switch when the door swings out.

IMO for any single hinged door the switch should be on the latch side.
Center latched french doors are a different story, there is no latch side. :p
