Switch loops make my brain hurt


So I'm in the attic last night and I can't figure out what the heck was done - romex with two black wires patched into one side of the knob and tube. Switch loop! (the second black was actually white, but taped over black)

And I finally saw the tube part of knob and tube... Nicely done actually.
