swimming pool wiring specs

I'm having a hard time with the electrical inspector regarding the wiring for my newly installed inground pool. Any one know where I can get the specs for ground wires. He says that I can't use green and white tape, it must be all color coded single wire. Is this according to NEC? Appreciate any help and info.

I assume you are referring to smaller wires (#6 and smaller)? If so he is correct, and it is not in Art.680 (Pools and spas).
This is what is meant when we say there is NO specific section with regards to a certain job. You wire a pool according to Art.680 and are explicitly told to refer to chapters 1-3 for wiring methods as well.

Basically, under #4 you must use colored conductors. Taping is not allowed.

Thanks Speedy
We wired today according to his requirements. Hope we don't louse up again.
